Our activities are being coordinated by the UK’s Chief Plant Health Officer, Nicola Spence.

Announced in May 2022, The Public Engagement in Plant Health Accord kickstarted a national conversation around biosecurity and promotes the actions that the public can take to protect tree and plant health. 32 organisations from across the country have come together in common purpose to protect the health of our nation's plants and trees. We believe that everybody can play a part in protecting our plants and trees from the threat of pests and diseases.

Our shared long-term vision is that everyone will appreciate the value of healthy plants and trees, understand threats to plant health, and will act responsibly because they have the knowledge to make the right choices. The Accord statement was published as an annex to the Plant Biosecurity Strategy for Great Britain (2023-2028).
